The Christmas rush has ended, and the new year has begun. But that doesn’t mean that our factory has stopped its celebrations. Our team is busy with school holiday madness. Kids are still on break which means one thing; the Adelaide Hills are thriving. From the bustling streets of Hahndorf, to the Giant Rocking Horse and other local attractions, there’s so much to see and do, the only problem will be fitting it all in before the new school year begins.

Stirling

Looking for something to do on Sundays? Stirling is home to the famous hills markets, featuring local produce, crafts and arts from local businesses. Running every fourth Sunday of the month, the markets are renowned for their unique and diverse range of goods. Stirling comes alive when the markets are on, with restaurants and food vans spilling onto Druid Avenue, and offering a wide range of delicious and alternative nibbles.

Hahndorf

A mere 20minutes from Adelaide CBD, Hahndorf is an iconic destination for all. With a bustling atmosphere, restaurants and shopping hot spots, Hahndorf is fast becoming one of the most sought after weekend getaways. Over the Christmas and New Year period, Hahndorf has been bustling with eager visitors, many capitalising on the hot weather and enjoying a walk down the tree-lined street. With dozens of restaurants and cafes, alternative options and traditional German ones, tourists are treated to a unique and scrumptious experience.

But besides food hot spots, Hahndorf offers all a step back in time, and as the oldest German settlement in Australia, it’s an iconic destination.

Gumeracha

Home of the Giant Rocking Horse, Gumeracha is an English-like settlement with a hidden treasure. Sitting behind the town, is a Giant Rocking Horse at the Toy Factory. A popular tourist hot spot, the destination offers visitors a unique look at the production of wooden toys and other specialties. In the same area is a cafe, and small animal pen, where children are encouraged to feed the animals and enjoy the country experience. For more information about the Rocking Horse, visit their website.

Woodside

And if you’re up in the Adelaide Hills, and looking to occupy the kids for a while, why not check out our Woodside factory. With an onsite cafe, offering delicious Mahalia Coffee, cakes, muffins and our very own Melba’s Hot Chocolate, you’d be silly to drive by.
