The only product that contains palm oil is our No Added Sugar Milk Chocolate range.
We use wheat glucose in the products we manufacture. We recommend looking at the nutrition panel for each product, to ensure it is appropriate.
Our chocolate does not contain any gluten ingredients. However, due to the fact that we manufacture, process and pack all products (including non-gluten free products) with the same plant and equipment, we do not label any products as gluten free. If you are Celiac, we suggest reading the nutrition panel of each product, to ensure it is appropriate.
The entire Melba’s product range has a nut warning, due to the fact we manufacture, process and pack our products using the same equipment.
None of our plain chocolate products are dairy free. A few lines in the Sugarless range are lactose free.
None of the products we manufacture contain egg. However some product lines we stock are from other manufacturers and may contain egg.
Our hard-boiled confectionery (toffees) are vegan-friendly. Please read the nutrition panel on each product to ensure it is appropriate for your requirements.
The gelatine we use is derived from bovine.
We do not make any Halal Certified Products.
Do not refrigerate chocolate, as the moisture in the fridge can also lead to “sugar bloom,” meaning the sugar rises to the surface and discolours the chocolate.
Chocolate should be kept in a cool, dry place.
What is the Compound Bud Mix?
Our Compound Bud Mix is a combination of Milk Compound Chocolate, Dark Compound Chocolate, and White Compound Chocolate. The Compound Chocolate generally has a lesser cocoa percentage and contains vegetable fat in replacement of cocoa butter. It lacks the full and complex flavours and textures found in our regular Milk, Dark and White Couverture Chocolate.
A majority of our range is available online, items such as seconds and Giftware are only available to purchase from the factory – and are subject to availability. Our seconds are a sold on a first-in, first-served basis, and we ask that you do not ring to put quantities aside.
