Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before completing your Party Booking Form. By purchasing a party package, the Parent/Guardian acknowledges that they have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

  1. BOOKINGS and DEPOSIT – Bookings can be made in person, online and over the phone.  All bookings and invoices provided are based on the information provided by you, and pricing and availability is subject to change in accordance with any change applied to your booking.  To confirm your booking, a non-refundable deposit must be paid within 7 days of invoice date.  If the requested deposit is not paid within this period, Melba’s holds the right to cancel your booking without notice and make the time available to other customers.  Payment of deposit implies consent with all of the Terms & Conditions below.
  2. PRICES and FEES – Prices are subject to change.  Changes will only apply to bookings made after the date that the change is published.  All prices are expressed in AUD and include GST.  The purchasing of function packages and extras may be subject to credit card and other fees. 
  3. MINIMUM NUMBERS – party bookings are for a minimum of eight (8) children.  Birthday child must be included in total guest count.
  4. PARTY TIMES – Morning parties 10.00am to 12.00pm, Afternoon parties 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
  5. CATERING – Party organisers are permitted to bring their own birthday cake. BYO candles, knife, plates, serviettes. Platters cannot be cancelled within 3 days of your party date.
  6. GIFT FOR BIRTHDAY CHILD – Included in the booking package is a Melba’s voucher to the value of $15.00 for the birthday child.  The voucher must be presented at Melba’s Barossa Valley and is not exchangeable for cash.  
  7. GUEST CANCELLATIONS – If guests cancel or do not show up on the day of the party, you will not be issued a credit or refund for their cost. 
  8. SUPERVISION – Children under thirteen (13) years of age must be actively supervised by a responsible adult. Children less than five (5) years of age must be supervised, and accompanied by, a responsible adult at all times.  Where You are responsible for such children, You are bound by Melba’s rules on their behalf and are responsible for their behaviour.
  9. CHANGES TO YOUR BOOKING – A minimum of 5 days’ notice is required when adjusting any numbers, catering or extras on your booking.  Please contact our Venue Manager to discuss.
  10. FINAL NUMBERS – To enable us to correctly cater for your function, final numbers and food orders must be confirmed 5 days prior to the function.
  11. PAYMENT – All accounts are to be settled in full on or before the function date. We accept payment by means of Cash, EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard, or AMEX. We do not accept cheques or Afterpay, nor do we invoice for later payment.  Please note, when paying by Credit card or EFTPOS, surcharges will apply.
  12. CANCELLATION – In the unfortunate event that a confirmed booking is cancelled, the deposit is non-refundable.  If you cancel with at least 7 days’ notice, you will have the choice to re-book another date. 
  13. DECORATIONS – All clients are welcome to decorate their function space.  We allow BLUE TACK only for fixing items to walls. No exceptions. If any damage to walls or paint is caused by use of any other product, costs of repair will be recovered.  We do not allow ‘scatters’ or similar scattered table decorations.
  14. RESPONSIBILITY – Organisers are financially responsible for any damage/breakages sustained to the premises by the organiser, organiser’s guests, invitees or other persons attending the function.  Melba’s will not accept any responsibility for the damage or loss of merchandise left prior to or after the function.
  15. RESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOUR – All visitors are required to behave in a manner that is responsible and considerate of other visitors.  Melba’s reserves the right to intervene and remove customers from the premises where it sees fit.  Smoking or the use of any unlawful drugs or stimulants at our premises is strictly forbidden.
  16. CLEANING – General cleaning is included in the cost of the function.  If cleaning requirements following your function are judged to be excessive, additional cleaning charges will be incurred.
  17. Parents and Children wishing to use the non-designated outside space at the conclusion of the party may do so as a general member of the public, understanding that the Party space needs to be vacated.
