Easter is around the corner, and the excitement can be felt amongst many of our younger visitors. As they walk through our doors, and into the gallery, their eyes become mesmerised by the Easter range surrounding them. A crowd favourite seems to be the Giant 1kg Easter Rabbit and the even bigger, Giant 2kg Chocolate Egg; they’re never wandering around disappointed, that’s for sure.

And this Easter, unlike others, we’ve got a few more tricks up our sleeve. Not only will we have a variety of food options by Maxine’s Baked Potatoes available for visitors, our resident Face Painter will be stopping by, impromptu product demonstrations will be occurring, and we’ll be offering kids the chance to take home one of three Giant 1kg Easter Rabbits, in our colouring in competition. Details about the colouring in competition will be available at the factory over the long weekend! There are hours of fun, with ample onsite car parking and picnic facilities making Melba’s your one-stop Easter fun shop. RSVP on Facebook now to stay in the loop with our factory fun!

But there’s more to Easter in the Adelaide Hills then just visiting us and stocking up on your favourite chocolates. Who would’ve thought! And we’re excited to share some of our much-loved events over the weekend.

Oakbank Races

One of the state’s premier racing carnival’s comes to Oakbank Racecourse on Saturday 15th of April and Monday the 17th of April. For almost 150 years, families have made their way to the hills township, bringing with them their picnics and barbeques, and an atmosphere that encapsulates the unique country setting. The Oakbank Races are running family-fun events over Easter Saturday and Monday, with fun promised for the whole family.

And this year, like many previously, Melba’s are supplying the Easter Eggs for their famous Easter Egg Hunt, Egg and Spoon Race and many more activities run by the Oakbank Race Organisation. For the past few years, we’ve sent down 10,000 of our delicious Milk Chocolate Foiled Eggs, 2 Giant Milk Chocolate Eggs and an assortment of gift packs for prizes in the races. Every year, the anticipation for the hugely successful race surprises us all. For more information on the Oakbank Races, visit their website.
